WENNSOFT TAKEN OVER Featured

John Jazwiec, WennSoft WennSoft became the latest company in this space to be touched by private equity investors this week. LLR Partners made "a strategic investment" in Los Angeles, Calif.-based WennSoft. John Jazwiec has become WennSoft's CEO. His predecessor, Jim Wenninger, is shown on WennSoft's website as "Founder and Industry Strategist". The parties did not disclose the amount of the investment, but a spokesperson said LLR is now a majority owner.

Jazwiec has served as CEO of FiveCubits (sold to Command Alkon by Elements Partners) from 2009 through August 2014 and RedPrairie (acquired by JDA Software) from 2002 through 2007 and is touted as having significant experience in fast-growth technology companies. I think it's safe to say most of us have not thought of the company that way. LLR has an investment in Dynamics reseller Tribridge and was previously an investor in Prophet 21 (purchased by the former Activant Solutions, which is now Epicor Software), WennSoft has a small, but notable group of resellers: BDO Solutions, Callow & Associates, Crestwood & Associates, DFC Consultants, Express Information Systems, Praxa, Professional Advantage, the TM Group and UXC Eclipse. WennSoft Signature, a field service application built on Dynamics GP, and WennSoft Evolution, built on Dynamics CRM. For interesting reading, Google "Jazwiec, RedPrairie, Home Invasion."
