SAGE LIFE NOW SAGE LIVE Featured

Doug LaBahn, SageMaybe someone at Sage read my comment that a maintenance contract for Sage Life would be called Life Support. Anyway, the product is now Sage Live and the company gave a brief view  at the Sage Summit conference now underway. Live has three editions, Essentials, Standard and Premium. Essentials financials for one country; single-country compliance; real-time scoreboard and reporting; "Mobility, Social, and Community" (according to the slide image I saw), a "Success Support Plan"; and two designated users.

Five business users and two full users cost $1,620 per year. Standard offers financials for up to 10 companies and up to five designated users. That seven-person configuration costs $2,400 per year. Premium offers up to 100 companies and multi-country compliance and bumps support up to the Premium level for $3,300 per year for those seven folks. I had multi-country compliance interpreted for me as multi-currency. We're still picking up the nuances of the briefing by VP Doug LaBahn. I asked someone what Business and Full Users meant and got this answer "Looks like Business is on mobile only and Full users is mobile and desktop?" I was expecting something more like Sage Business One—financials and CRM in one package—but maybe there's a few more shoes to drop. This was the description of how Live made its appearance at Partner Day briefings: "LaBahn gave the presentation based only on PowerPoints. No demo and only one basic screen shot that was anything different than the self running stuff they've been showing." The name change was apparently very recent--slides shown partner sessions still said "Sage Life". One attendee said the reason involved the reputation of another company that was using the name.
