Sage currently has eight account executive openings for that facility. Account exec means direct sales person. But let's look at the job description: "Responsible for generating revenue through direct sales of Sage products via outbound calls to prospective leads generated by the inside sales team. The Account Executive maintains an active pipeline, calls on prospects and works with the prospective customers through the entire sales cycle including lead qualification, product demonstrations and closing new business." I haven't been able to get much info out of Sage since it canned its North American PR team in June but I have been told to be patient. I am assuming that once the company has filled the position of director of North American communications, which has been public for at least a couple of weeks, things will change. Right now, this continent is served only by a PR agency. But the job description says the director will set up "in country teams in North America".
