Tod Nielsen, FinancialForce FinancialForce has decided to turn its human capital management business over to ADP. The decision was announced at the cloud software company's CommunityLive conference this week. CEO Tod Nielsen, on the job for six months, said the company needs to focus on what it can do best.

"When I joined our road map, was s every feature of every ERP system," he said. FinancialForce needs to concentrate on areas such as the PSA market where it is strongest. Chief marketing officer Fred Studer said the company will focus developer resources on maintaining customer code, but will not add more capabilities. "We will be working with ADP to build integration," he said. ADP and FinancialForce have agreed to make mutual referrals. "Where there are standalone HCM deals, we will immediately reference and bring in ADP," Studer said. ADP will provide broader HCM capabilities, tax credit services and benefits administration, while FinancialForce will invest in skills and talent management in its PSA line. FinancialForce entered the HCM market in November 2013 with the purchase of Vana Workforce, whose products, like FinancialForce, was built on the Salesforce platform
