JOBBOSS TO USE CENTERPOINT Featured

Ken Hilton, Red Wing SoftwareJobBoss, which makes manufacturing software, has agreed to utilize CenterPoint Payroll from Red Wing Software. The Red Wing application will replace the current JobBoss Payroll offering.

Exact, which currently owns JobBoss, says the deal enables the manufacturing package to concentrate on core shop management functions. I can't say that I have ever seen an announcement of company integrating with a Red Wing product. CenterPoint Payroll will integrate time, attendance and payroll information to the JobBoss GL. Red Wing president Ken Hilton said in a prepared statement, "Our two companies have worked hard to create an intuitive interface and migration process that is easy for JobBoss customers."  JobBoss, Macola and Max are currently part of Netherlands-based Exact, which is owned by private equity firm Apax Partners. The manufacturing applications will be transferred to ECi Software Solutions, recently purchased by Apax.
