LOOKING AT INFOR'S RESELLERS

Infor logoWhen Infor announced on April 6, that it had signed 25 new resellers, it didn't release any names. And it's been hard to find new ones via a Web search. One of the few that came up was Merino Consulting Services, an American subsidiary of an India-based Infor channel partner (whether these companies are simply VARs is something I'm not clear on).
MCS was formed last year as part of a global expansion and it's also the only company I've found whose announcement about signing (released in February) with Infor contained Taylor Macdonald's name. The company's focus is the Southeast from Florida to Tennessee, with plans to expand across the continent. It sells and implements Infor ERP LN in a number of specialized markets such as automotive, industrial equipment and machinery, and hi-tech electronics. I'm not completely sure it's a good proxy for the kind of company signed by Infor, but it's an indicator. The parent Marino Group has $120 million in annual revenue. An Australian reseller, Professional Advantage, employs more than 250 people according to its Web site, suggesting a minimum of $38 million in annual revenue.  PA also sells Dynamics products in this country, but it’s not clear from the Web site if its Infor operations extend here. In general, the companies that pop up on a search are bigger than the average U.S. VAR and also tend to be multi-regional, if not multi-national.
