INTUIT’S WERNIKOFF CHANGING ROLES Featured

Dan Wernikoff, IntuitEVP Dan Wernikoff is moving from his job as head of Intuit’s Consumer Group. He will begin working with CEO Brad Smith on strategic projects when the company ends its year on July 31.

There were no details about the job given by Smith during this week’s webcast for earnings for the third quarter ended April 30. Wernikoff has been with Intuit since 2003 and has headed the Small Business Group since May 2014. In May 2016, he switched roles with EVP Sasan Goodarzi, who was then running the Consumer Group. I view the two EVPs as likely candidates to succeed Smith, who became CEO in January 2008. Ten years is a pretty good run in a job like that. Perhaps the new job for Wernikoff is part of a rotation through different parts of the company in possible preparation to take over from Smith?
