DYNAMICS REVS RISE 10 PERCENT

Microsoft says that Dynamics revenue rose by 10 percent for the third quarter ended March 31, and by 7 percent for the nine months. That’s all of the statistics reported for the Dynamics line, but it compares to the 21 percent increase in revenue for the Microsoft Business Divisions, which is responsible for Dynamics. MBD revenue hit $5.25 billion for the most recently ended period, compared to $4.34 billion a year earlier.

Microsoft notes that revenue from Office products comprise more than 90 percent of the division’s revenue with Dynamics representing the list. While the four ERP products and Dynamics CRM weren’t named in the company’s form 10-Q filed with the SEC, the company said during yesterday’s earnings webcast both the ERP and CRM packages gained market penetration. Microsoft also reported there are 40,000 copies of CRM 2011, in product trials, compared to an installed base of 27,000. Whatever the opinions the industry has about the online financial products, the company made its participation in the cloud across many of its product lines a major selling point of the direction Microsoft is taking.
