News and Analysis
Stan Kania, who owns Sage reseller Software Link, has expanded the hosting program that is being provided through another of his companies, MyownASP.com. The Alpharetta, Ga.-based operation has begun a partner program via which Sage resellers can receive recurring revenue on products hosted by Kania’s business.
Myownasp was already hosting Sage and Intuit packages and was certified for Peachtree. But now it is expanding to just about any business application. The pitch is that by signing up, resellers can avoid the cost of having to build their own infrastructures while enjoying the benefits of a revenue-sharing plan “The cost for even the larger partners to get into the business we are already in in terms of infrastructure cost would be prohibitive,” says Dennis Karus, COO of Software Link. Customers get portal access for financial and third-party products. Users also can make decisions about whether to accept updates, instead of having them implemented automatically. Kania’s company will also roll all products and services, including the hosting, into one subscription price. Pricing plans include $115 per user per month for a financial bundle and $149 per user per month for financial and distribution modules.
