The Axis of Evil has taken another blow with the death of Moammar Qadafy (and we'll spend less time figure out how to translate his name from Arabic.) As Moammar follows the late Saddam Hussein to wherever these guys go, it's becoming more the Broken Axel of Evil.
The real loser is the Franklin Mint which had been planning its series "Great Dictators of the World. That follows its other discarded plan for "Republican Presidential Frontrunners". Speaking of frontrunners, if he's elected, Herman Cain plans to add a line to the poem "Give you your poor; your tired..." It will now end with "But just in case, electrify the fence to keep them out." ... While many people were occupying Wall Street, I was doing my own version last week, watching the folks from NetSuite ring the closing bell. As I stepped onto the floor of the NYSE I looked at all the displays and numbers. It looked so much like a casino, I got confused. I saw a guy in uniform and asked him to get me a screwdriver and what the spread was on the Giants game. He looked at me knowingly and said, "Don't worry. It's got to be better than what you're getting on your 401(k)." He added quickly, "We're giving great odds on a Greek bailout."
