NEXTEC TAKES ON ACUMATICA

The NexTec Group has picked up the Acumatica line. It's a good win for Acumatica. Seattle, Wash.-based NexTec is No. 30 on the Bob Scott's Insights Top 100 VARs for 2015 with $19.48 million in annual revenue. It was great timing that the press release on this broke the same day Nextec announced that it was honored for 2015 Best Business Partner for Migration for Sage X3 at the worldwide sales conference for that product in Istanbul, Turkey.
SILVERSUN DEBUTS NEW WEBSITE

SilverSun Technologies, parent to Sage reseller, SWK Technologies, has established a new website. It's much more interesting graphically than the old one, which was pretty staid. And it spells out many of the strategic points made by CEO Mark Meller in a recent investor presentation. For the mid-market channel and their supplies, the meat is in the section called "Business Focus" The first headline proclaims the company among the largest Sage X3 resellers in the country but also notes SilverSun is proud to handle Acumatica and NetSuite, suggesting it has had time to get comfortable with the two cloud applications.
X3 SALES VP ARMSTRONG OUT

Donna Armstrong, who has served as sales VP for the Sage X3 line, is leaving the company. Sage announced her departure this week following its earlier statement that the letters ERP would be dropped from Sage ERP X3 because it made clients think the product was costly and inflexible. Armstrong had held the position since April 2012 and joined Sage in 2010 as director of its professional services group. Rich Spring, new to the company in April as chief revenue officer, said North American units sales of X3 are up 40 percent over last.
