An SAP Leonardo Center has opened in Paris, France. The center is the first in a series to be established around the world to provide showcases for a variety of new technologies along with offering the space for other companies to explore innovation in new technologies.

At his company's recent Community Live conference, Tod Nielsen, CEO of FinancialForce, said Microsoft had "massive chaos in field ops". The chance to pin him down on his keynote remarks slipped by. But there were others who anticipate some sizable layoffs in the organization.

FinancialForce made its recent Community Live conference a bit of a coming out party. It was the first time the cloud software company invited analysts and press to its event. It laid out product plans, mentioned in passing that it has heard talk about a possible IPO and spelled out channel intentions.
