Another Dynamics GP-only reseller no longer fits that category. CAL Business Solutions has taken on Acumatica. Acumatica becomes the first true-cloud financial software product for the company. The Harwinton, Conn., based reseller, founded in 1982, has sold GP since 1999.

It's a bit more than a year since the first independent testing for Dynamics certification was conducted. In that time, 323 exams have been completed with a pass rate of 63 percent, according to Joe Carroll, executive director of the Association of Dynamics Professionals.

The question with sales and use tax vendor goes public has always seemed a matter of when, not if. And the suggestion the Seattle, Wash.-based Avalara is moving into serious planning came in a recent report from Reuters which said Avalara has been interviewing banks for the possible offering. The company, of course, declines comment.
