British reseller K3 is continuing on its significant restocking of executive ranks. In the last two months, the VAR, which carries Dynamics, Sage and Syspro software, has named a new CEO, CFO and managing director for K3 Syspro. In October, Adalsteinn Valdimarsson was hired as CEO while his predecessor, David Bolton, became executive chairman.

Microsoft has renamed the Worldwide Partner Conference. The event to be held from July 9 through 13 in Washington D.C. will be called Microsoft Inspire while the ill-fated Envision, the replacement for convergence, will become part of Microsoft Ignite from September 25 to 29. The change was recently announced on a blog by Chris Capossela, the company's chief marketing officer.

Sage CEO Steve Kelly received about $2.1 million in compensation for the year ended September 31. It was the first full year of pay for the software company's top executive. He joined the company in October 2014 and received about $1.9 million for fiscal 2015.
