Net income for SilverSun Technologies, parent to SWK Technologies, dropped to $17,218 for the second quarter ended June 30, down sharply from $120,493 a year earlier. Revenue for the most recently period was $9.7 million and increase of 13.8 percent from $8.5 million in last year’s corresponding period.

Rootstock software has opened a new headquarters in San Ramon, Calif. The company, which makes software based on the Salesforce platform, said it has had employee growth of 111 percent since the beginning of the year. 

Brightpearl, which markets retail ERP systems, has received $15 million in a growth round. The round was led by Cipio Partners, which existing investors MMC Ventures and Notion Capital.
