Xero says it has hit 253,3000 subscribers in the United Kingdom as of September 30. September 30 is the end of the first half for the New Zealand-based cloud company so more information should arrive over the next three weeks.

Channel veteran Geoff Ashley has been named to lead Acumatica's reseller program. Ashley, who held important channel positions at SAP and SugarCRM, takes over from Ali Jani who had been doing double duty as the cloud company's VP of partner strategy, product management, and services.

Joseph Cowan, CEO of Epicor, will retire from the job he has held since October 2013 at the end of this month. Cowan will be replaced by Stephen Murphy, former president of OpenText. The surprise is how long Cowan has lasted in the top job with the software company.
