DELTEK MOVES INTO HQ

deltek logo newDeltek has moved into a new headquarters in Herndon, Va. The company said the facility consolidates 700 local employees in one building.  Interesting that in describing the facility as having 103 open collaboration spaces, 120 community whiteboards and 29 huddle rooms, the announced said that there are also two game rooms. INFOR BUYS SERVICE MANAGEMENT APPS

Infor logoInfor is staying on the acquisition road with the purchase of product lines from Single Source Systems, a third-party developer for Infor and Sage.  Infor acquired products that include Service Management Plus (SM-Plus), SM-Plus Mobile and Workbench Suite. SM-Plus is described as enabling service-centric companies that make, distribute and service high-value or complex equipment to manage the entire service life cycle of that equipment. Read more...

BIZOBJECTS GETS MOBILE ARSENAL

SAPAs SAP spun out an array of announcements from its Tech-Ed and Sapphire Now events in Madrid, Spain, it launched a variety of mobile apps for BusinessObjects.  The Strategy Management mobile app, also available on iTunes, enables executives to collaborate from the field and manage threaded discussions, respond to alerts and review information such as timelines and budget status. SAGE VET BERGERA EXITS CCH

bergeraJoe Bergera, who jumped from Sage North America to CCH, has left the job of VP and general manager for CCH's tax business unit. Bergera was EVP and GM for CRM for Sage North America and was a highly regarded executive. The job he took at CCH in March was to head a new business unit. Bergera's LinkedIn resume changed this week to show he is now group VP of software at Roper Industries.

FISHBOWL OPENS API TO SPUR DEVELOPMENT

Fishbowl has opened its API to promote development of applications based on the Fishbowl Inventory 2012 platform. The vendor also launched the Fishbowl Developer Nations to support users and partners in stimulating development. The company said the API supports Fishbowl Enterprise. At the same time, the company announced the first three members of the program,  document management provider eFileCabinet, mobile developer Sharpe Concepts, and integrated packing and shipping provider Pacejet.

NETSUITE: CHANNEL SALES ACCELERATE

Zach NelsonNetSuite reports that channel sales have accelerated and while the company didn’t put any revenue figures to that information, it said that this revenue has grown by 50 percent over last year.  That came as the company reported strong growth for the third quarter ended September with CEO Zach Nelson stating “We shattered a slew of previous bests as a public company”, including record revenue.

Designed for professional services organizations, the application is used for viewing and utilizing data. The tools include Maconomy Dashboards, which provide role-based views; Maconomy Analysis, a framework that identifies potential problems; and Maconomy Reporting, which provides configured reports based on predefined industry best practices. BLACKBAUD NAMES CFO

Anthony BoorBlackbaud has hired Anthony W. Boor as SVP and CFO to replace Timothy V. Williams, who is retiring from the top financial job. Boor will take over the position on November 14.  Before joining Blackbaud, he spent 13 years with BrightPoint, a multi-billion dollar global distributor of wireless products and a logistic services provider to the wireless industry. NetSuite has added services resource planning and professional service automation features to its OpenAir platform. The additions include Expense Reporting for iPhone, a PSA app that enables users to capture an image of an expense receipt, attach it to a report and submit it. Read more...
