Navigator Business Solutions has been named as the SAP Business Partner of the Year USA for 2009, as the vendor handed out awards last month. EXACT INTROS ECOMMERCE PACKAGE

Exact, which markets the Macola Profession, Globe and Synergy lines,has introduced Exact eCommerce, which integrates Web store and online order management with the Exact's Macola, Globe, MAX, and JobBoss ERP systems. The company said users can publish separate business-to-business and business-to-consumer Web sites from the same control panel and offers separate pricing, content, promotions, and purchase rules each. ERP STUDY SHOWS IMPLEMENTATION TIMES

This may be a glass half-full, half-empty situation, but the 2010 ERP study by Panorama Consulting shows that implementations of ERP systems are doing pretty good in terms of meeting deadlines. Now, the report based on 1,600 firms that did implementations in the last four years, concluded that "Less than half of the companies (43%) completed their implementation projects within the expected timeline." ACCUFUND DEALS WITH F9

The folks at Infor's F9 operation really should send Microsoft some handwritten thank-you notes as the end of FRx continues to be the gift that keeps on giving to Infor. The latest to deal with F9 for financing reporting is AccuFund. The Needham, Mass.-based nonprofit accounting software vendor has struck a deal to integrate F9 Professional Version 5 with the AccuFund Accounting Suite. F9 Professional Version 5 for AccuFund does the usual things, enabling users to create reports in Excel and linking to the GL, and also providing the ability to present data graphically and yadda, yadda, yadda. MAINTENANCE KEEPS MIDMARKET WORLD GOING

Where would the software industry be without maintenance income? In 2009, it was the difference between a very tough year and unmitigated disaster as maintenance was the one source of revenue that went up when other streams went down.  (Is there such a thing as a mitigated disaster?) And I think the importance of maintenance and support for midmarket companies represents one of the challenges of moving from the software license and maintenance combination for producing revenue to the subscription model for paying for Internet-based products. SABRIX, ABACUS PRODUCTS MERGING AT THOMSON

It's unclear to what extent plans by Thomson Reuters its OneSource Global Tax Workstation impact the business of midmarket resellers, but to the extent that Sabrix affected this market, there should be some interest. Thomson has taken Sabrix and Abacus, acquired last year, and is putting together their offerings in the workstation as part of an international expansion of its Tax & Accounting business, which has been largely a U.S. operation. WHY EPICOR 'S CREDIT DEAL WAS MODIFIED

Every once in a while, the reasons vendors changed their financing becomes apparent. And Epicor’s change last fall is probably one of those issues faced by many companies and banks when a bad economy takes its toll on earnings. The amended agreement removed the requirement for a coverage ratio of 3 to 1 of income to fixed costs (generally interest). And when a company suddenly doesn’t have earnings, it’s hard to maintain a positive coverage ratio. Read more...

TRIBRIDGE GETS ON PENNSY VENDOR LIST

Tribridge, a Dynamics reseller based in Tampa, Fla.,  has been approved as a vendor on the Pennsylvania IT Services Contract, giving it the ability to offer services to city, county and state government and organizations, along with agencies that include transit, law enforcement, port authorities and tax collectors, in the Keystone State. Tribridge's Public Sector Practice has also completed projects in North Carolina, New York, Iowa, and its home state of Florida.
