GP 2010 BUILD UP NOISE LEVEL RISING

EDGEWATER REVS TAKE BEATING IN 2009

Results for Dynamics reseller Fullscope weren't included in the 2009 results for its new parent, Edgewater Technology since its acquisition was effective after the year closed. But I'm sure Edgewater can't get those numbers of the books quick enough as the company’s revenue dropped by 32.1 percent for the year ended December 31. Revenue for 2009 was $50.1 million, down from $73.7 million the prior year. Read more...

F9 USES PERVASIVE FOR INTEGRATION

F9 seems to be getting more active. With part of that related to Microsoft's sunsetting FRx, the latest announcement is that F9, which is owned by Infor, chose the Pervasive Data Integrator as the basis of its QuickBooks-to-Excel integration tool. Read more...

SAGE PUTS MILLENNIUM INTO THE CHANNEL

Sage North America has put Millennium, its Web-based CRM application for large non profits, into the channel. The company said the program, previously available only via the direct sales, would be available through a channel that includes authorized referral partners, authorized resellers and certified implementation partners. Referral partners can receive a referral fee based on license revenue. Read more...

DYNAMICS NAV GOES BACK INTO THE R&D OVEN

There's no official information that says that Dynamics NAV 7 is delayed. But if you take up the previous time frame of 2010-2011, and add the fact that all Microsoft will says is that release "is scheduled for release in calendar year 2011-2012", it looks like there's some sort of delay. There's no hint at which end of the rather loose schedules, either the original or the new one, in which the product will hit the market. This broke via a Twitter post from Rob Helm an analyst with Directions on Microsoft who follows Microsoft developments and that post had no information other than there would be a delay. NETSUITE OFFERS UP ALTERNATE MARGIN PLAN

Craig WestGet your money now or later? That's probably the best way to explain NetSuite's announcement of a new margin plan. I'm not sure it's quite as earth-shaking as the company is representing. But it's probably good in offering resellers a different way of getting their money. Currently, NetSuite VARs get 50 percent of the money on a the sale and implementation in the deal's first year and then receive 30 percent of the value of the contract annually as long as the customer stays on the system. EXACT REVAMPS CHANNEL PROGRAM

exactExact, which has seen a lot of its resellers adding other lines, has put together a new channel program. Labeled the NexGen program, it is supposed to provide "the communication and strong support platform each partner needs to thrive selling and supporting Exact solutions," according to the official announcement. PRONTO NAMES INFRASTRUCTURE PRODUCT MANAGER

Pronto Software, an Australian-based financial application vendor, has named Stefan Crisp as Product Manager, Infrastructure. That move follows Pronto’s hiring of a North American VP last fall to recruit a channel. Crisp, responsible for direction, development and go-to-market strategy, was hired to spearhead development of Pronto-XI. The company’s official statement quoted Crisp as staying is plans included guaranteeing the inter-operability of the Pronto system and making secure it is as secure and scaleable as possible. Crisp was most recently a product manager at Agilent Technologies. Read more...

FRONTRANGE RAMPS UP IN EUROPE

FrontRange Solutions, whose products include the GoldMine CRM line, has named Ian McEwan as Vice President EMEA. Before joining FrontRange, McEwan had held senior sales and management positions with Peregrine, BMC, IBM and Vignette. The company said EMEA would be a major focus for its business starting this year. McEwan will be based in the United Kingdom. Read more...

TIW LINKS WITH PAYCHEX

TIW Technology, which markets Alere Accounting, has linked its software to Paychex's payroll processing service. The interface enables Alere users to import GL postings from Paychex Preview Software. The move means they no longer need to enter GL information manually. Alere Accounting, which is marketed by the Easton, Pa.-based software publisher, is part of a product line that includes Alere Manufacturing.
