QAD HIKES LOPKERS' COMPENSATION

Karl Lopker, QADManufacturing software company QAD handed out 55.4-percent increases in compensation in fiscal 2018 for its two top executives. QAD CEO Karl Lopker and president and chairman Pam Lopker received identical pay in fiscal 2017 and 2018.

BLACKBAUD EXECS' PAY RISES

Mike Gianoni, BlackbaudCompensation for executives at Blackbaud rose by double digits in 2017. The Charleston, S.C.-based nonprofit software vendor used stock awards to push up pay of five named executives by more than 19 percent each in the year ended December 31.

NETSUITE SETS BROAD PRODUCT INTROS

Evan Goldberg, Oracle NetSuite Oracle NetSuite previewed or introduced a wide range of products at this week’s SuiteWorld conference. These included what executives described as a long overdue analytics product, updates to SuitePeople, SuiteTax API for indirect tax products and what it called the first intelligence cloud suite.

TRIMBLE BUYS VIEWPOINT

 Steve Berglund, TrimbleConsolidation in the construction software industry took a big step this week with Trimble’s acquisition of Viewpoint. Trimble, which is paying $1.2 billion in cash to buy Viewpoint from Bain Capital, expects to soon have an annual run rate of more than $1 billion in the construction market.
