Manufacturing software company QAD handed out 55.4-percent increases in compensation in fiscal 2018 for its two top executives. QAD CEO Karl Lopker and president and chairman Pam Lopker received identical pay in fiscal 2017 and 2018.

Consolidation in the construction software industry took a big step this week with Trimble’s acquisition of Viewpoint. Trimble, which is paying $1.2 billion in cash to buy Viewpoint from Bain Capital, expects to soon have an annual run rate of more than $1 billion in the construction market.

RSM US is expanding its NetSuite business with the purchase of Bellevue, Wash.-based Explore Consulting. The deal is expected to close on July 1. Terms were not disclosed.
