Toronto-based Wave Accounting has raised $5 million Canadian in its Series A financing round. Wave provides a free on-line accounting application for small business. The company itself gets money from targeted advertising and buying-group opportunities. The round was led by Charles River Ventures with the participation of OMERS Ventures.
