CEO HONORÉ HAS LEFT COLUMBUS Featured

CEO Thomas Honoré has left his position as CEO and president of Denmark-based reseller Columbus. After nine years in the position, Honoré left abruptly—the day he announced his departure, August 27.

That move followed the announcement of results for the year ended June 30 from August 21. The company is working on a new strategy, “In relation to this strategy work, it has become clear that Columbus requires new CEO competences in order to implement the new strategy, and therefore the Board of Directors in Columbus A/S has decided that this is the right time for Thomas Honoré to leave his position as CEO & President in Columbus.” CFO Hans Henrik Thrane has been appointed as temporary CEO. Change was in the air from day the Columbus reported that revenue for the first half was off 1 percent from the corresponding period the year before. Revenue for the United States, which continued to fall in the first half, is off 77 percent from three years. Columbus, which carries Dynamics and Infor M-3 (Lawson) also said it is exploring the future of its own software business and is considering taking a partner.
