VERTEX HANDS OFF SERVICES Featured

Vertex has been making its partners more important in the delivery of services CEO David DeStefano said last month,

He made his comments in the recent webcast for earnings for the year ended December 31. While services for the indirect tax software vendor grew 20.2 percent to $91.6 million last year from $76.2 million in 2022, that rate of grow will not continue. “You will continue see a reduced growth rate in services business,” DeStefano said. With the company steering that business to its global alliance partners, it expects services revenue growth in the mid-digits for 2024. Vertex lost $13.1 million for 2023, up 6.5 percent from the $12.3 million loss the prior year. Last year’s revenue of $572.4 million was 16.4-percent higher than in 2022. Cloud revenue of $214.6 million, was 27.1-percent higher year-over-year.
