UNIT4 REBRANDS CODA, AGRESSO Featured

Jose Duarte, Unit4Unit4's two ERP lines, Coda and Agresso, have been brought together under a new brand reflecting the parent company's name. Coda has been renamed Unit4 Financials with Agresso now falling under the Unit4 Business World moniker as the Netherlands-based company introduced major new updates to its products. Financials sports a new user interface and experience. The company said the Flexi-fields technology enables users to combine business data with any contextual information from inside or outside the system, such as pipeline data or customer retention information.

In-memory analytics capabilities are also embedded in the system. Unit4 described BusinessWorld as designed for people-centric businesses [otherwise known as service businesses], offering several domain-oriented Experience Packs: Smart Budgeting, Communities, self-driving Payroll, Appraisals and Requisitions. It can be deployed in the public or private cloud, or on-premise. Both products are based on the Unit4 People Platform, an open architecture system that also made its debut this week. In a prepared statement, CEO Jose Duarte said, "The People Platform represents a new approach to delivering business applications for service industries and government. We are focusing our innovation efforts on closing the gap that exists between workforce expectations for application simplicity and increasingly complex business realities."
