BLACKBAUD CEO EARNED $5.7M IN 2016 Featured

Mike Gianoni, Blackbaud Blackbaud CEO Mike Gianoni was paid $5.7 million for the year ended 2016, largely from a stock award of $4.4 million. That was well beneath the $11.5 million he received in 2015—his first complete year with the nonprofit software vendor—also largely from a stock award, in that case of $10.1 million.

Stock awards also represented the largest portion of compensation for all named executives. CFO Tony Boor received $3.3 million last year, an increase of 18.2 per cent from $2.8 million in 2015. His 2016 compensation included a stock grant of $2.6 million. Kevin W. Mooney, EVP of the general markets business unit, drew $2.4 million in compensation last year, up 7.1 percent from $2.3 million the prior year. Brian Boruff, EVP of the enterprise customer business unit, earned slightly less than $2 million last year, an increase of 21.2 percent from $1.6 million. John Mistretta, EVP of human resources, earned $1.6 million. He was not a named executive previously.
