MCCOLLUM HEADING EPICOR RETAIL

Craig McCollum, EpicorCraig McCollum, who had important Microsoft and Sage jobs, has reportedly been named to head Epicor's retail sales. Epicor has not made an announcement and McCollum has not added Epicor to his LinkedIn page. But he reportedly started the new job on June 4.

Since February 2009, he had headed his company, True North Strategists, a consulting firm. He was a VP for the Microsoft Dynamics organization from July 2007 through October 2008 and was VP of worldwide MBS Sales Strategy at Microsoft from September 2004 through June 2007. He served as SVP of business solutions at Sage North America from July 2001 through August 2004. Epicor had filed an SEC report recently that it was reorganizing its retail division and said that Paul Salsgiver, EVP for the retail software unit, would no longer meet the SEC's requirements for an executive officer. Salsgiver joined Epicor via its merger with Activant Solutions, which has turned out to be more a takeover by Activant than merger. Retail was an important part of the Activant business.
