NEW ERP VENDOR CROP IN U.S.

Jeff Tognoni, Jeeves Information SystemsThe United States is getting a new influx of ERP vendors. as they follow their customers across the ocean. The new entries include Sweden’s Jeeves Information Systems. In August, Jeeves got a new CEO, Jeff Tognoni, who had been CEO of Consona for nine years before that company merged with CDC Software to form Aptean. Consona was owned by Battery Ventures, as is Jeeves.
Its chairman and a general partner of Battery, Dave Tabors, noted Tognoni made “is an important part of our strategy to take Jeeves into the top ranks of the international SME ERP market." Battery purchased Jeeves and took it private earlier in 2012. Its 2011, its last full year as a public company, Jeeves had about $29 million in revenue. Someone also pointed me towards Germany’s Abas Business Solutions, which has an office in Sterling, Va., and also one in Vancouver, B.C., as a newcomer. But its U.S.A. user group held its sixth annual conference in 2012, so it’s not so new. However, these things develop slowly. Consider Australia’s Pronto which appointed an American channel manager in 2009. It enlisted five North American resellers in that time. However, in November it opened a Dallas office.
