Avalara's Compliance Cloud platform is now available on the AWS Marketplace. The inclusion of the sales tax software from the Seattle, Wash.-based sales tax application company was among an initial group of applications available via AWS. The SaaS products in the marketplace are available at subscription pricing for AWS customers.

Intuit registered strong growth for QuickBooks Online, desktop and Self-Employed in the first quarter ended October 31. And the company said sales of QBO were up 50 percent over a year ago outside the United States. "Based on strong product-market fit for QBO in Canada, the U.K., and Australia, we're leaning into greater go-to-market activity in these countries," CEO Brad Smith said in prepared remarks during this week's earnings webcast.
