Intuit has improved reporting for QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions with its Advanced Reporting Tool. The new capabilities are part of QBES 15, already available to ProAdvisors, and which will be in the hands of small businesses next week. QuickBooks had more than 100 default reports. “But they are kind of painful for Enterprise customers,” says senior product manager Catherine Fisse. Advanced Reporting is available for free for users with active service plans for Release 6 or later.

Microsoft says Dynamics CRM 2015 will be available in the fourth quarter. Also available at the same time will be updates to Dynamics CRM online and Dynamics Marketing Services.  Marketing Services introduces the new Sales Collaboration Panel, which enables sellers to provide input into campaigns. The release also provides graphical email editing, A/B testing, integrated offers and approval workflows. There is also a new Interactive Marketing Calendar allows marketers to visualize and manage their end-to-end marketing plans.

Open Systems has announced the availability of Traverse Point of Sale. The system utilizes "a distributed design that does not require a constant connection to the primary server and database,” according to Steve Beckey VP of Traverse development. The company says the system is designed to provide robust reporting and analysis capabilities. Transaction history and real-time database records are stored indefinitely, and are accessible via interactive views for on-the-fly analytics.
