OneNFP has introduced a nonprofit line, OneNFP Financials. The company's online products are built on Serenic Navigator and tied into Office 365. OneNFP grew out of the former publicly held Serenic Corp. Those operations were spun out of what had been known as Serenic with the desktop Serenic business now operated by Syllogist. The old Serenic, OneNFP and Syllogist are all Canadian companies.

This has the look of a "if you can't beat 'em work with 'em" kind of moves. Deltek has introduced Acumen 6.0, the latest version of its project management software. And one of the most notable changes is that Acumen now integrates with Safran Project, enabling users to import Safran schedules. The other project management application is marketed by Norway-based Safran Software.  Namita Dhallan, Deltek's EVP of product strategy and engineering, discussed the decision to provide that integration in prepared statement.

Epicor Software has released version 8.7.9 of Eclipse, its wholesale distribution package. The software features Progress Billing to enable billing independent of shipping material. Epicor says the method is suited to electrical and plumbing distributors and can also be used for billing based on project stages or to manage an installment payment plans. Among the features are Advanced Demand Forecasting, which utilizes the exponential smoothing, Holt and Holt-Winters models to accommodate planning based on trend behavior and seasonality.
