Alan Laing, leader of Sage U.K. and Ireland has left the software company's ranks. The executive took the job in June 2017. He replaced high-profile leader Jacqueline de Rojas who left after six months.

SAP, which has ambitions for leading the CRM market, will double its business in that segment within two years. The projection this week came in an interview with Alex Atzenberger, SAP's president, customer experience, with Reuters.

Open source vendor xTuple has expanded its third-party APIs with version 4.11. The new release includes xTupleCommerce 1.0, a B2B sales and customer service Web Portal. The company describes the system as providing “expanded access to ERP objects via a robust REST API”.
