Columbus said this week it plans to utilize its January acquisition of Swedish iStone to take the Infor M3 (Lawson) product line global. The initiative is a major change for Columbus which had concentrated on the Dynamics line and its internally developed Columbus Software.

Channel consolidation is hardly new. But there is a new scale. The acquisition of Edgewater Technology by Alithya this month follows December’s merger of Socius and the SBS Group as Velosio.

Analytical software vendor Qlik has hired Chris Jones as EVP of worldwide sales. Jones, who had a 10-year tenure at Cisco Systems, was most recently chief partner officer for Infoblox in 2017 and 2018 where he led the global partner strategy and organization.
