Community Brands, the parent to the nonprofit Abila software line, is expanding through more acquisitions. The St. Petersburg, Fla.-based company has acquired two more companies and has an agreement to purchase a third.

Sage has named its CEO Circle, which one reseller described as becoming smaller and smaller. Sage certainly does not make as big deal in handing  out awards as it once was.

Blair Crump, president of Sage since August, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Sage Group. Crump will become an executive director on January 1. He becomes the first American on the Sage board since the departure of Ron Verni in 2007.
