INFOR GETS CO-PRESIDENT

Stephen Scholl, InforInfor has named Stephen Scholl, formerly CEO of Lawson Software, as co-president. The move follows this month's merger of Lawson with Infor. The man he joins in the presidential role is Duncan Angove and both are veterans of Oracle, as is their boss, Infor CEO Charles Phillips.

Scholl became EVP of global field operations at Infor, before moving over to Lawson in December 2010. From 2006 to 2009, he ran Scholl ran Oracle's North America Consulting Group. In dividing the responsibilities, Infor gave Scholl Infor's global sales, consulting, alliances and channels, and telesales organizations, as well as making him executive sponsor for large accounts, while Angove leads development and support. Angove also joined Infor in December 2010. Joint leadership can work. It has worked well at SAP which has historically had co-CEOs and it worked extremely well with the Lewis and Clark expedition. But this looks a little lopsided , although the timing suggests this thing was planned from the start. Just for the record, Infor and its backer, Golden Gate Capital, acquired Lawson in July, but the companies were not merged until the beginning of this month.
