INTACCT: NO COMPETING PRODUCTS FOR VARS

Last week’s statement that it would seem to be easier to carry multiple cloud products and that some VARs are already doing that brought an elaboration from Intacct’s channel VP Taylor Macdonald. Generally, Intacct is not signing those who sell or want to sell competing products. ”We have grandfathered a small number of firms (less than 5, principally BPO firms who became VAR’s) to be allowed to sell Intacct and a competing Cloud product (QB online doesn’t count),” Macdonald wrote in an email.

He said that among those cited by the item for carrying multiple products, Sererra is an Intacct consulting partner, not a reseller, although the VARs website has all the names of companies whose SaaS products it deals with shown with equal prominence. Meanwhile, the company continued harvesting from the Deltek channel. In what has become a once-a-week announcement of new VARs, it said it had added Deltek reseller Silver Edge Systems Software of Schaumburg, Ill. The prior week, it announced the signing of Central Consulting Group of Minneapolis. Both CCG and Silver Edge are Deltek Premier Partners and are half of the four reselling organizations with that designation who sell Deltek Vision.
