SALES VP LEAVES EPICOR

Bob Aronson, Epicor SoftwareReports in the channel say that Bob Aronson, Epicor Software's VP of sales has left the company. An inquiry has been sent to Epicor about these reports.  An industry veteran, Aronson was with Tribridge from January 2005 through April 2008. He joined Microsoft in 2008 and was director of industry sales there until August 2013 when he then joined Epicor.

NETSUITE REPORTS QUIETLY

Zach Nelson, NetSuite NetSuite sort of snuck its financial report for the September quarter into the world. Given its pending acquisition by Oracle there was no conference call and I didn't get any emails. Well, the trends continued with revenue for the third quarter ended September 30 up 26 percent rising to $243.9 million from $192.8 million in last year's corresponding period.

SAP NET DROPS AS REVS RISE

Bill McDermott, SAPRevenue growth for SAP accelerated for the third quarter ended September 30, although its after-tax IFRS profit dropped by 19 percent from last year's corresponding period. The 9-percent increase for the third quarter was ahead of the 6 percent registered for the nine months. CEO Bill McDermott said in this week's earnings webcast company is raising its 2016 outlook for the top and bottom line.

DYNAMICS 365 USER GROUPS STARTED

Dynamic Communities Dynamic Communities has announced two new user groups for customers of the cloud-based Dynamics 365, which will be formally introduced at the beginning of November. Dynamics 365 Business User Group is for organizations using the Dynamics 365 Business edition while another group is for those purchasing the Dynamics 365 Enterprise edition.

DYNAMICS SALES UP 11 PERCENT

MicrosoftDynamics revenue took off in the September quarter. The company said this week that for the third quarter ended September 30, the line's income rose by 11 percent over last year's corresponding period. That compares to a 4-percent increase for the year ended June 30.

SAGE FILLING DIGITAL MARKETING JOBS

Neil Morgan, SageSage is ramping up its digital marketing with a push to fill many jobs in that area. In a recent web posting, the company said it had several roles to fill and listed 24 different job categories for which it is hiring. Sage did not enumerate the number of jobs to be filled in the categories.

EDGEWATER REVS TO FALL SHORT

Shirley Singleton, Edgewater TechnologyEdgewater Technology says anticipated service revenue for the third quarter ended September 30 will fall short of revenue guidance. CEO Shirley Singleton says service revenue will be "essentially flat" with total revenue of about $30.8 million, compared to $31.2 million in last year's corresponding period. Service revenue is expected to be about $27 million compared to $27.2 million a year ago.

SBS NAMES CFO

Cardonne RayThe SBS Group, a reseller and Dynamics Master VAR, has named Ray Cardonne as its CFO. He was CFO of DLB Associates Consulting Engineers of Eatontown, N.J., from 2010 through this year. Before that, he held the same title at Refac Optical Group for 10 years.
