Singapore-based Deskera, which offers cloud-based business software, has raised $60 million in funding. The company, which has offices in India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the United States, plans to use the funds to add to its product portfolio and continue to expand globally.

Manufacturing software company QAD posted net income of $1.8 million for its third quarter ended October 31. That compared to a loss of $904,000 in last year’s corresponding period. The improvement came on a 3.4-percent increase in revenue, which rose to $79.6 million in the most recently ended period, from $76.9 million a year earlier.

HighJump Ship, a shipping application for small parcel and less-than-truckload shipments has been enhanced to support shipments originating outside of the U.S. and Canada. Minneapolis, Minn.-based HighJump said this month the software supports more than 200 additional national and regional parcel carriers in more than 70 countries.

Intuit CEO Brad Smith received $21.1 million in compensation for the year ended July 31, an increase of 28.6 percent from $16.4 million a year earlier. Smith, who is leaving the company, will be replaced by EVP Sasan Goodarzi on January 1.

Intuit says it has 140,000 subscribers for its QuickBooks Desktop Solutions. The numbers from CEO Brad Smith during this week’s webcast for earnings for the first quarter ended October 30, marks the first time in several years the software company has provided installed base figures for QBES.
