PALSULE OUT AT SAGE; BOKO ALSO

Himanshu Palsule,  Sage North AmericaHimanshu Palsule is leaving Sage North American next month after serving as chief technology officer and head of strategy since July 2012. Meanwhile, Sage confirmed that Gabrielle Boko, EVP of global brand experience is gone as well. Palsule has been with the company since 1997, joining Best Software which was then purchased by Sage in 2000. The departure was announced to the channel this week. In a prepared statement, Palsule said, "After many wonderful years at Sage, it is time for me to say goodbye as I start a new journey."

DYNAMICS REVS UP 3 PERCENT

MicrosoftMaybe because I gave up on reading Microsoft financial reports some time ago, but my recollection it has been a while since the company gave any indication about Dynamics sales. There were no figures in the 10-K for fiscal 2015 or the third quarter 10-Q. In any event, the company said that for the first quarter ended September 30, Dynamics revenue rose by 3 percent over the first quarter of 2015.

SAP SPENDS MORE, CLOUD BOOMS

Bill, McDermott, SAPNot mentioned prominently in SAP's ebullient pronouncements about its cloud software was that the company increased spending by 22 percent for the third quarter ended September 30. But for the moment let's concentrate on the fact that after-tax earnings were about $988 for the most recently ended quarter, up 2 percent from a year earlier. Revenue was roughly $5.5 billion, up 17 percent—10 percent in constant currencies.

ARMANINO NAMED TOP INTACCT VAR

Tom Mescall, Armanino Armanino has been named Intacct's 2015 VAR of the Year. The San Jose, Calif.-based accounting firm says it is also the first reseller to be named to the Intacct President's Club for five consecutive years. Besides selling Intacct, Armanino has created Intacct integrations to Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Adaptive Insights and Coupa. Armanino has had a year of multiple honors—during the summer it was placed in Microsoft Dynamic's Inner Circle for the fourth consecutive year.

QLIK CREATES SUPPORT MONITORING

QlikQlik Technology has introduced a monitoring-as-a-service addition to its product support lineup. Qlik Proactive Support is designed to provide issue prevention and resolution. The new support service offers real-time anomaly detection, live diagnostics, and regular health check reports, along with recommendations for optimum performance and risk mitigation. The company has also renamed its support levels from Standard and Premium to Basic and Enterprise.

BLACKBAUD NAMES CTO, INTERNATIONAL VP

Mary Beth Westmoreland, Blackbaud Blackbaud has named Mary Beth Westmoreland as chief technology officer. Westmoreland, who joined the nonprofit software vendor in May, 2008, hangs on to her role as SVP of product development of Charleston, S.C.-based Blackbaud. She is now responsible for worldwide technology strategy and planning for all products and also includes the development of strategic infrastructure and software to support Blackbaud's cloud capabilities.

XERO WARNS USERS: RESET PASSWORDS

xeroXero is urging its customers to reset their passwords and says it will enforce that change when users log in. In an email message this week, the New Zealand-based company says it has seen an increase in phishing scams, some impersonating Xero's branding. Xero says "Our monitoring has shown that a small number of our customers have had their Xero accounts compromised.

Its customer base is described as more than 350 hospitals in countries, including Canada, France, the United States and the United Kingdom. Medworxx's flagship product, Patient Flow, helps hospital with bed utilization, by providing a standardized, evidenced-based clinical criteria systems.

NETSUITE Q3: GROWTH IN REVS AND LOSSES

Zach Nelson, NetSuiteNetSuite focused on its top line for the third quarter ended September 30 registering its thirteenth consecutive quarter of more than 30 percent year-over-year revenue growth. Meanwhile, CEO Zach Nelson noted in this week's earnings webcast the company plans to continue investing in growth. The cloud software company's loss rose to $37.3 million for the most recently ended period, an increase of $27.3 million in red ink a year earlier. Revenue reached $192.8 million, a 34-percent increase from $177.3 million in last year's corresponding period.

KEYEDIN DEBUTS MANUFACTURING CLOUD

Kevin Hurley, KeyedInKeyedIn Solutions has launched its KeyedIn Manufacturing Cloud ERP, an application the company says comes with an open API for easy integration to other systems and applications. Modules include Sales, Quoting and Estimating, Purchasing, Scheduling and Production and Manufacturing Resource Planning, and Shipping.  The product was described in a prepared statement by Kevin Hurley, KeyedIn EVP of technology.
