Thomas Honoré, Columbus Denmark-based reseller Columbus showed decent revenue growth for the nine months ended September 30 despite a slowdown in the SMB business in the United States. The company this week reported before tax profit of roughly $9.6 million for the reported period, up 4 percent from a year earlier.

INTUIT BUYS SALES TAX COMPANY

Jonathan Barsade, ExactorIntuit has agreed to buy Exactor, which makes cloud-based sales-and-use tax software. Exactor will be integrated into QuickBooks Online to serve retail customers. Terms were not disclosed.

INTUIT'S BLUNDELL DIES

Steve Blundell, IntuitSteve Blundell,who was a well-known figure in accounting firm technology, has died. Blundell, age 71, died in September after a battle with cancer. A resident of Helena, Ala., Blundell retired from Intuit in January after 20 years with the software company.
