Channel veteran Joe Santoro has joined SWK Technologies as a senior sales executive. Santoro owned the Canadian reselling firm, Synergy Plus Solutions, from December 1993 through 2012 when it was purchased by New York, N.Y.-based Net@Work.

Xero has automated codes in its cloud accounting software. The system applies machining learning to have the system teach itself what codes to apply to invoices. That announcement went out this week and it’s clear that most software companies are on the AI bandwagon.

CEO Lars Björk, has left analytical software vendor Qlik. That is 14 months after the Radnor, Pa.-based company was acquired equity firm Thoma Bravo for about $3 billion in cash. The owners thanked the executive but did not even say he was pursuing other interests.
