NETSUITE HIRES SALESFORCE EXEC

NetSuite has named Frank Iannotti as SVP of enterprise accounts. The announcement of this week was about two high-profile exec hirings. But Doug Kennedy, now VP of global systems integrators, scooped his new employer by posting the job change, which was published here earlier in the month. Iannotti was area VP for Salesforce.com from October 2011 through March. Before that, he was GM and national VP for SAP On-Demand from October 2003 through October 2011.
MICROSOFT TO BUY FIELDONE

Microsoft has reached an agreement to buy FieldOne Systems, which markets field service management applications. Based in Mahwah, N.J., FieldOne had joined Microsoft's Strategic Global ISV Partner Program in March. The benefits are the same—FieldOne is built on Dynamics CRM and Microsoft was going to sell the acquired application anyway.
VAN TOOR JOINS AVALARA

Industry veteran David Van Toor has joined Avalara as GM of EMEA Operations. Van Toor had been a consultant with the sales-and-use tax application provider from November 2013 through May. He was VP and managing director of Australasian operations with Epicor Software from 1992 through 2001. Van Toor then moved to Sage where he remained from 2001 through April 2009.
