Terry Hicks, who had led Intuit's QuickBooks Online operations, has taken a job as chief product officer at Infusionsoft. Hicks' left his position as VP and GM of QBO in February at a time in which that application was becoming an increasingly central part of Intuit's software business. Based in Chandler, Ariz., Infusionsoft makes sales and marketing automation applications for small companies. The company has a channel program that enlists resellers, referral partners and affiliates.

Bill.com has hired David Appel as head of direct sales for the online invoicing software company. Appel left NetSuite in May after slightly more than seven years with the cloud accounting software publisher. From January 2011 until his departure from NetSuite, he was director of new market sales.
