FISHBOWL GIVES VAR EFFORT TWO PRONGS

Fishbowl Inventory, which initiated a reseller program in October, has turned the effort into a two-level program, now giving the chance for those interested to become Fishbowl Preferred Resellers or Referring Consultants. The company had a channel program prior to that, but members were largely not traditional midmarket VARs who are the new targets.
The company said it made this month’s change because dealers had asked for more incentives, flexibility and training. The program offers margins ranging between 30 percent and 50 percent along with revenue potential from support plans, consulting, training, implementation and customization. Those who wish to be referrers can receive a 10-percent commission. Fishbowl 2010, released in October, includes a new manufacturing option.
