DYNAMICS REVS UP 11 PERCENT
Microsoft has reported that Dynamics revenue for the second quarter ended December 31 was up by 11 percent over last year's corresponding period. Dynamics CRM revenue was up by more than 30 percent.
In an earnings webcast this week, the company also said that ERP revenue had increased by double digits, but no details were released. And that is as much detail as the company usually provides about Dynamics, which is part of the Microsoft Business Division. That division had a 3 percent increase in revenue with business revenue up 9 percent and consumer revenue down 17 percent. The latter was due to the recognition of $224 million a year ago under the Office Deferral program, which provided the ability for customers to upgrade at little or no cost from earlier versions of Office. For the quarter, MBD revenue was $6.3 billion, up from $5.9 billion.
