AVALARA INTEGRATES WITH QB ONLINE
Avalara's sales-and-use tax application now integrates with Intuit's QuickBooks Online. The link was accomplished via the use of MuleSoft, an integration platform for connecting SaaS and enterprise applications in the cloud and off. Bainbridge Island, Wash.-based Avalara said the integration is instant via CloudHub, MuleSoft's platform.
The MuleSoft platform enables SaaS providers to build and pre-packaged integrations to third party applications, without creating custom code. Integration to QuickBooks Online is available as an add-on service to Avalara's AvaTax. Earlier this month, Avalara also certified the Sage SalesLogix AvaTax connector written by ISM, a Portland, Ore.-based Sage VAR and SalesLogix developer. The connector makes it possible for SalesLogix users to utilize AvaTax's functionality. For its work with Sage Platform's Avalara was named Sage OEM and Endorsed Development Partner of the Year for 2012 at the Sage Summit conference this month.
