RAND GROUP BUYS BI SPECIALIST
The Rand Group, a Houston, Texas-based Dynamics reseller, has picked up assets and employees of SMBology. Founded in 2003, SMBology has described itself as offering strategic consulting, user experience design, and application development. In its announcement, Rand emphasized the expansion of services by adding a suite of business applications and custom business intelligence dashboards based on Microsoft Sharepoint.
SMBology founder and president Justin Singer joins the VAR after what was described as several years of project collaboration between the businesses. Earlier this month, Rand hired Rob Forst as senior account executive to help grow its Dynamics sales. From October 2009 until he took the new position, Forst was an account executive with Atos International. Before that, he spent over three-and-a-half years in sales positions with SAP.
