INTUIT SELLING DATA CENTER Featured

Tayloe Stansbury, IntuitIntuit is selling its largest data center in Quincy, Wash. The company is selling the facility to H5 Data Centers, described as one of the largest privately-owned data center operators in the United States.

Intuit says the deal will result in a GAAP operating loss of $75 million to $85 million for the year ending July 31. The company had already moved TurboTax Online to AWS during tax season and expects to finish transitioning QuickBooks Online this year. “Now that most of our core applications are in AWS, the time is right to transition the ownership and operation of this data center to a team who will expertly manage the infrastructure through the remainder of this transition,” Tayloe Stansbury, Intuit’s chief technology officer, said in a prepared statement.
