SAGE TAKING INTACCT OVERSEAS Featured

Sage plans to introduce Intacct to international markets next year. In reporting this month its results for the year ended September 30, the company says Intacct will be launched into Australia and the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Sage cited “significant market opportunity in these geographies” and said it will launch in other major regions in coming years. Sage said Intacct had organic growth of 26 percent over the prior year; compared to 31-percent growth from fiscal 2016 to 2016. That was offset by a 2-percent decline in professional services and training. New CEO Steve Hare noted a broad range of Intacct initiatives during the company’s recent webcast, along with overall development of Sage Business Cloud, including more R&D spending for the products,  which includes Intacct, Sage People, Accounting and Financials. "We need to deploy it [R&D spending] for building out Sage Business Cloud more fully," he said. Investment will also be made to improve user experience, migration pathways, microservices and connectivity of the ecosystem. The combination of cloud products had revenue of about $472 million for fiscal 2018.
