The group has been assembled over the last two years by Pine’s parent, the Evergreen Services Group. The announcement signaled Evergreen and Pine will continue on the M&A trail in this market. According to Pine’s press release, Schmidt’s “expertise in acquisitions will support the significant inorganic efforts being put forth to scale Evergreen’s global business application portfolio.” The VARs are the Alliance Solutions Group, Alta Vista Technology, Digitek Solutions, Strategic Information Group, Third Wave Business Solutions and Western Computer. These represent resellers of Dynamics, Sage Intacct, Sage Construction and SAP mid-market products. Schmidt was previously with reseller Quisitive Technologies as president of PayIQ from January 2022 until that unit’s recent acquisition by Fulcrum IT Partners. Before that, she was had two tenures with the Harland Clarke Corp. (now Vericast). She was president and CEO from May 2017 through April 2020 and worked there from July 2000 through October 2011. In her last one year and three months with that company, Schmidt was EVP of sales and marketing.
