Andy Collins, Tridea PartnersColumbus, the Denmark-based reseller and ISV, has acquired Solana Beach, Calif.-based Tridea Partners. Terms were not disclosed. It is the fourth VAR purchase in the last two years in the United States by Columbus, which will continue its pattern of letting the purchased operation keeping its name and tacking on "A Columbus Company".

Tridea carries Dynamics AX, GP and 365. The other operations bought by Columbus were CSG (Client Strategy Group), InterDyn BMI and Sherwood Systems. Founded in 2004, Tridea, is reported to have 29 employees and more than 200 customers. The company was co-founded by partners Andy Collins, who heads sales and marketing, and Mathew Boese, in charge of consulting services. Tridea is a firm that briefly participated in the selection of Bob Scott's Top 100 VARs and then stopped responding to requests for information. In 2013, it ranked No. 82 on the list with $5.15 million in revenue and 25 employees, so its worker base has not changed much in that time. It made the Microsoft Presidents Club in 2016.
